Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz 60 ml Tequila blanco
  • 3 oz 90 ml Fresh grapefruit juice (about 1 medium grapefruit)
  • ½ oz 15 ml Fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz 15 ml Simple syrup (adjust for sweetness)
  • 2 –3 oz 60–90 ml Sparkling water or club soda
  • Pinch of salt optional, for rimming the glass
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Garnish: grapefruit slice lime wedge, or fresh mint

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Glass: Use a highball or Collins glass. Optional: rim with salt by rubbing lime and dipping in coarse salt. Fill with ice cubes.
    Mix Alcohol and Juice: Combine tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker or directly in the glass. Stir or shake gently.
    Add Fizz: Top with sparkling water or club soda. Pour slowly to preserve bubbles.
    Garnish: Add a grapefruit slice, lime wedge, or sprig of mint for a visually appealing presentation. Serve immediately.
    Optional Layered Look: Pour sparkling water over the back of a spoon to float it on top for a subtle layered effect.
