Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced ham or salami
  • ¼ cup diced bell peppers
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives optional
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle, approximately 12x16 inches, making it as even as possible.
  • Layer the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around all edges for sealing.
  • Arrange the pepperoni slices over the cheese, followed by the ham or salami, diced bell peppers, and black olives if using.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly over all the fillings to enhance the flavor.
  • Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log, similar to rolling a cinnamon roll, keeping the fillings tucked inside.
  • Pinch the seam and both ends closed firmly to prevent any cheese or fillings from leaking during baking.
  • Place the rolled garbage bread seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the top and sides generously with melted butter for a golden, crispy finish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 190°F.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing into thick pieces.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping and enjoy immediately.
