Ingredients

  • 6 –8 slices white sandwich bread crustless preferred
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries washed, hulled, and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 –3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar optional, for dusting or sweetening

Instructions

  • Chill a mixing bowl and beaters, then whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Wash, hull, and slice strawberries evenly. Optional: sprinkle lightly with sugar if strawberries are tart.
Spread a generous layer of whipped cream on a slice of bread. Arrange strawberry slices evenly on top.
Optional: add another layer of whipped cream on strawberries for extra creaminess.
Place a second slice of bread on top and gently press down. Trim edges with a sharp knife for a neat square appearance.
Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 15–30 minutes to set.
Slice carefully with a serrated knife for clean presentation.
Optional variations: mix berries, drizzle chocolate, add custard, or spread matcha cream.
Serve chilled with tea, coffee, or as a dessert.
