Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Unflavored gelatin powder Grass-fed or marine collagen preferred
  • ¼ cup Water (cold)
  • ¾ cup Fruit juice or broth (warm) Pomegranate, tart cherry, or bone broth work well
  • 1-2 tablespoons Raw honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness
  • ½ teaspoon Lemon juice or vanilla extract
  • Pinch Sea salt To taste

Instructions

  • Pour cold water into a small bowl and sprinkle gelatin powder evenly over the surface. Allow to bloom for 2-3 minutes until the gelatin absorbs the water.
  • Heat your chosen juice or broth to 160-180°F (70-80°C). Avoid boiling to preserve amino acids and collagen structure.
  • Slowly pour the warm liquid into the bloomed gelatin while stirring gently for 1-2 minutes until completely dissolved with no lumps remaining.
  • Add honey or maple syrup for sweetness, lemon juice or vanilla extract for flavor, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir well to combine.
  • Pour the gelatin mixture into serving glasses, a baking dish, or silicone molds. Cover loosely and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Remove from refrigerator 10 minutes before serving. Eat with a spoon, cut into cubes, or blend into smoothies. Store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.

Notes
