Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: Sprinkles or sugar for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter, Cream Cheese & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
Add Egg & Vanilla: Beat in 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Combine Dry & Wet Ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix just until combined.
Shape Cookies: Scoop dough into balls (about 1–2 tbsp each) and place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Optional: roll tops in sugar or add sprinkles. Slightly flatten each ball.
Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Centers will be soft but will set as they cool.
Cool & Enjoy: Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
