Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 –4 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Heat-Treat the Flour: Heat ¼ cup flour at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes or microwave to 165°F. Let cool.
    Cream Butter & Brown Sugar: Beat softened butter and brown sugar in a large bowl for 2–3 minutes until creamy.
    Add Powdered Sugar & Vanilla: Gradually mix in powdered sugar, then 1 tsp vanilla extract, scraping sides occasionally.
    Add Milk or Cream: Mix 2–4 tbsp milk or cream to reach desired consistency.
    Add Flour & Chocolate Chips: Fold in heat-treated flour, then fold in mini chocolate chips gently.
    Frost: Use a spatula or piping bag to frost cupcakes, cakes, or cookies. Customize with sprinkles or candy if desired.
